Professional Practice

My practice as a computer forensic expert began in 2018 in the courts of the Balearic Islands, and I am currently part of the list of experts for the Association of Notaries of the Balearic Islands and the lists of judicial experts in courts throughout Spain, including the National Court and the Supreme Court. I also provide my services in Andorra as a party-appointed expert.

In addition to my 20 years of experience in the IT sector, I am backed by over fifty expert reports delivered, covering civil, criminal, commercial, administrative litigation, and labor jurisdictions, as well as administrative proceedings.

I hold a Diploma in Technical Engineering in Business Informatics from the University of the Balearic Islands. This degree grants access to the professional attribution of preparing computer forensic reports (Article 2 of Law 12/1986, of April 1, on the regulation of the professional attributions of Architects and Technical Engineers). Additionally, I have completed two master’s degrees and a postgraduate course.

Committed to the profession and the development of computing in society, I am member no. 54 of COETIIB, no. 2023004 of COITICV, and no. 20210430-B of CPITIA. Since 2020, I have held various positions of responsibility, both on the governing board of my regional professional association (COETIIB) and the General Council of Official Colleges of Technical Engineering in Informatics (CONCITI).

In this regard, the official colleges of Technical Engineering in Informatics have been reporting that professional intrusion consists of performing acts specific to a profession without possessing the corresponding official academic qualification. In this sense, CONCITI has published the legal framework for the practice of the Computer Forensic Expert profession on its website.

I am registered with the Official Associations of Technical Engineering in Computer Science in Baleares, Valencia, and Andalusia, which represents a triple accreditation of professional qualification for carrying out work in the field of Technical Engineering in Computer Science. This registration provides a guarantee for courts against any attempt at recusal, as well as for law firms and private clients against any attempt to challenge my credibility.

In addition to professional registration, at Peritajes Gámez, we offer interested parties (lawyers, clients, and courts) the following guarantee mechanisms:

  • That the expert complies with the professional Code of Ethics during professional practice.
  • That the expert has valid Professional Liability Insurance to cover any eventuality arising from professional practice, providing legal and financial security to all parties.
  • That the expert is subject to the disciplinary control of the Official Association, which can mediate in case of claims.
  • That the client can request the endorsement of the work performed from the Association.
  • That the client can request the registration of the work performed with the Association, which acts as guarantor and custodian.
